Councillor Francis Jackson has a Diploma in Housing Management and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing. He formerly worked as a Housing Professional for Doncaster Council and currently works part-time as Company Secretary for a local roofing Company.

Q: Why and when did you join Askern Town Council?
A: I have always had an interest in community activities, including charity work, and believe that I can serve the community well by representing the electorate as an elected member of Askern Town Council and by campaigning for value for money services. Additionally, I believe that my knowledge and experience working as a former local authority employee has given me a thorough grounding in community involvement. I was first elected as a councillor in 2007 and have served the town to present day.

Q: What do you aim to achieve in your role as a Councillor?
A: In my role as a Councillor, I aim to represent the interests of the community to the best of my ability by ensuring that fairness and accountability is available to all.
