Askern Outdoor Gym

In April 2021 Former Councillor John McLaughlin worked hard to secure a funding bid on behalf of Askern Town Council which was used towards the cost of a new outdoor gym featuring seven pieces of modern equipment.

Askern Town Council is pleased to announce that its outdoor adult gym project is now complete and fully functional and is available to use, free of charge with a free app from Caloo to help. An opening event took place with demonstrations and advice from personal trainers.

Cost          £12,845.10 with a grant of £10,000 towards the cost.

Come and try out your new outdoor exercise equipment. Suitable for everyone and easy to use. No kit required just turn up as you are. Make it part of your visit to the shops, market or your weekly walk around the lake. It’s never too late to make a positive impact on your health.
